Bahara projectIn November, the architects of the Cathedral indicated us the need of creating some adaptations on the hacking, so that it does not come out of the construction line. And we started our work. Some days ago, they gave us the ok both to the new design of the hacking and to the placement of the artificial nests.

The hacking will be installed on the lower left balcony, and on the right hand side and terrace of the small bell-gable two of the artificial nests. We are very excited, as these days, our colleague Luis has observed a wild female around the area. These wild females are the ones that in theory should pair with any of the males that we release during the duration of the project, and yet settle in the building.

During the long year that we have been working, we have asked for collaboration to entities and companies. We have obtained some answers, an example of the ones that are helping us a lot is the company ABECOR, destined to hygienic works and plague control, mainly from the biological point of view. On both pictures, our colleages Rafael and Esperanza finishing the construction of one of the artificial nests donated from the company.

We cannot forget that Saint Laurant, company specialised in animal foods will give us the food for the chicks every year. The Council of Córdoba will provide a male chick, two chicks from the Spanish Association of Falconry (AECCA) and another chick from the excellent breeder of Falco peregrinus brookei, Manuel Rodríguez from Astifalcon. We hope that we can reach the number of six chicks to release, as it is forecast for the project.
