Borges, the golden eagle that was shot and released more than a year ago, is still around its old territories

Borges, golden eagleWhen more than a year ago, a Golden Eagle that came from a private hunting area in San Torcaz (Madrid) entered the Hospital of GREFA, not many people thought that an adult Eagle that was shot could integrate again in Nature, as it had a fracture in one of the bones of the wing and some bullets in several high risk places of its body.

Nevertheless, we released it in the same village of the East of Madrid´s province with the people that found it and sponsor it. Since then, Borges is still moving around its old territories and probably nowadays could be starting to rule its old breeding area.
